The daily reality of healthcare workers is far different from ours. While facing the same fears as anyone else, they battle daily to save lives, risking their own health in a country already affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Moved by their spirit of compassion and sacrifice, I created "Illusion", a 4-minute video art piece that explores these emotions on a musical, visual, and conceptual level.

Illusion aims to resonate across Costa Rica, representing its diverse, multicultural identity. Featuring 30 individuals—men and women, young and old, from various professions and backgrounds, including renowned artists and people from Colombia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Spain, China, and Cuba—it delivers an innocent yet powerful message, embodied by a young girl who gazes directly into the viewer’s eyes.
